ACTS International is happy to announce the beginning of preparations for the new, already 9th season of the Georgian diabetic camp for children “Green Valley.” In July 2004, about 60 Georgian diabetic children will spend 10 days at the camp located at a beautiful mountainous resort in Georgia.
It has become a good tradition over the last eight years that approximately 60 Georgian children diagnosed with diabetes come to “Green Valley,” meet other diabetic children, and take part in various activities – from hiking to applied arts. These 10 days of camp provide children with not only a great social experience and memories that will linger forever but most importantly, they learn to cope with the disease and learn important skills for managing diabetes. In addition, children are under continuous medical supervision of our wonderful team of Georgian and American doctors.
